Precautions to be taken with your PC.

  • Never open your PC cabinet while the PC is turned on.
  • Never try to service your PC Monitor yourself.
  • Always turn off your PC, only after using shut down function.
  • Turn off your PC during rains with thunder and lightning.
  • Never shake your PC components too much.
  • Make sure that your PC Hard disk is in perfect horizontal position with ground.
  • Never use low quality discs with CD Drive.
  • Never try to clean your PC components while they are On.
  • Close your printer with Dust Cover to prevent dust entering printer.
  • Make sure that your PC cabinet is well ventilated.
  • Occasionally check your SMPS fan. If it is not running, turn off your pc and call your hardware technician.
  • Don't use dirty or over used floppy disk cleaning kits. Also don't use old floppies. Keep the floppies in a floppy protector box.
  • To clean the PC cabinet internals, use a vaccum cleaner(dont use sucking option, use it in reverse.)
  • Clean the mouse regularly to have a smooth mouse pointer movement.
  • Check all electricity plug points regularly. Turn off your PC immediately, if you see any type of smoke or fire. Call for help immediately.
  • Use a good spike protector.
  • Using a UPS is a must to prevent PC problems related to Hard disk drives. Todays PC's use high speed Hard disk drives, which can be easily damaged due to frequent power failures.
  • Regularly run the ScanDisk program supplied with windows. It tries to keep your hard disk in shape. Minor file system errors will be automatically corrected by Scandisk.
