3d Studio Max is a very vast subject to cover here. I have tried to collect generalized guidelines for Animation related problems. Try them and see if they solve your problems..
If an animation looks strange when you preview it, try some of these options for correcting errors:
- Try to find the offending key frame and delete it. Then make whatever corrections are necessary at that key frame with Auto Key on.
- Delete the offending key frame and create new key frames on either side of the one you deleted.
- Click the key frame in the timeline and move it left or right.
- Use the Set Key tool to create adjusted key frames.
- Delete all the key frames and begin again.
- Explore the use of Key frame Editing in the Expanded Track Bar.
