Free image host's list for picture upload and hotlinking.

Here is a collection of free image host's which help you to publish your images/pictures to the world. You can use these hosts, to upload your images and share them with your friends and family. Some of them can generate automatic photo albums too.

For many of us, these image hosts are really helpful when we need to post our pictures on to ebay or forums(may be as an avatar too.).

File host

Even though the site name says "file host", it is only an image host. The server speed was average. They allow .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png and .bmp files to upload. The maximum file size is 5000kb which is better than many of competitors. They automatically convert .bmp files to .png files which is good for beginners. They have not mentioned the bandwidth limit any where.

Image heap

You need to register once to upload any content to this site. You will get 30 MB space to upload. 100 MB bandwidth per month you will get. Maximum file allowed is 2 MB per image file. The speed is average and mandatory registration is a headache. Nothing special to mention.

Image Cave

This photo hosting service needs you to register (free or paid) with them to host your images. Free hosting is limited to hosting images with a maximum size of 250k only. Do not allow adult images. They say, there is a bandwidth limit but they have not mentioned its exact limit anywhere on there site.

ImageShack Hosting

This is the most popular image hosting used worldwide. The image size can be upto 1024kb(1 mb). They allow you to host jpg, jpeg, gif, png, bmp, tif, tiff and swf files. No registration is needed for image upload. It has some cool tools like image auto resizing and image uploading from url. This allows each image 100 megabytes of transfer per hour which is good. You can upload any number of images they say. This is my personal favourite.

Photobucket Image Hosting

Registration is required for uploading images. Maximum image size can be 512kb. They allow jpg, gif, png, bmp, tif, swf file types. 50 mb space is given for every free account. And you can use upto 2500 mb monthly bandwidth.

TinyPic Photo hosting

They allow uploading without registration. Only 250kb max size per picture allowed. The only notable thing with their image hosting is their image url which is really tiny. Nothing special to mention.
